Would not recommend this host to others. Review text: My problem with Godaddy lies with their dedicated servers. This review is only based on their dedicated server and assisted support package.
Godaddy tried to keep the site up (from what they told me) however every time it hit Digg's home page it went down. I had the most beefed up server they offered (best processor and 4 gigs of ram) yet still, on two occasions in three days, the server went down completely and they needed to build me a new one.
That is what they told me. The site was down for 4-5 hours each time. I was told at first it was an Ethernet card problem, then I was told it was a hard drive issue. This happened two times in three days!!
This is unacceptable in general, but completely unacceptable when you are paying $340 dollars a month. Luckily I got my money back in ful, however be warned. If you are running wordpress, they will try and say it is wordpress's fault.
The real blame here lies somewhere in their hardware (which they will not tell you the brand of) and their configurations of MYSQL and Appache.
I moved my site to Media Temple and I am on a virtual dedicated server. I have the same configuration with wp-cache and have hit the home page of digg a few times with no problem.
Again, I still have smaller sites hosted with Godaddy and I have no problem with those. The Godaddy team did seem to be trying to figure out the problem, but in the end the fact that they would not tell me what kind of hardware they were using paired with the fact the site was going down constantly was more than I could stand.
